Google 收購了 Jaiku ，Jaiku 也很快的製作關於這個收購的 Q&A 。關於大家最好奇的「為什麼Google 收購了 Jaiku？」，官方的解答是：

但是為什麼不是目前在這方面服務有著明顯優勢的 Twitter ，而是 Jaiku 呢？

O'Reilly radar 中提到， Jaiku 並不完全是一家 "lifestreaming" 公司，而是行動(mobile)公司。Google 近期關注於行動方面的服務，收購 Jaiku 帶來的不是這方面的使用者，而是在 mobile 方面的技術。WebLeon's Blog也提到了其他的原因，

Google没有选择Twitter的另外一个原因也不得不提，Twitter的Evan和Biz在Blogger被Google收购后，在对Blogger的发展方向上和Google产生了分歧。这使得两人和Google之间，始终非常的冷漠。这种冷漠无疑也影响了Google和Twitter的结合。

但是比較有趣的是Did Jaiku just become a sacrifical lamb for the GPhone? | :Ben Metcalfe Blog這篇。由 Google 官方 Blog 上的訊息，可以大膽的猜測，雖然 Google 說目前 Jaiku 的使用者可以繼續使用服務，但是 Jaiku 的團隊在被 Google 收購且進一步開發新產品的情況下， Jaiku 很有可能是這樣收購行動下的犧牲品。

Google 買的是 Jaiku 這個團隊，產品是其次。查查 Jyri Engeström 或是其他 core team 的經歷，就知道了（我們要買的是團隊的天份 :p）。當然他們在 symbian 開發著力和功力之深，不是 internet 這個 track 過去的團隊可以快速超越的。常（or長）用series 60手機的人，一定可以感受的到他們產品的爆發力。



Twitter在mobile的表現是誤打誤撞，Jaiku可不是。



另外一個是地緣考慮。Dodgeball or Zingku 都是米國 based，Jaiku is from Finland! 這群人和歐洲的 mobile community 可熟了。隨便上幾個商務 SNS 就能看得出這些人的 network 關係。
